The scenario: It is 1927, a suspect enters a dark interrogation room. The door closes behind him, he is alone. In the room a curtain lifts revealing a ‘figure in the form of a skeleton’, this begins the interrogation. The suspect cannot see the human questioner sitting behind the skeleton. The skeleton is equipped with a camera hidden in his skull, eye sockets that contain red light bulbs and a megaphone positioned so that the voice of the operator appears to come from the mouth of the skeleton. That is the patented invention of Adelaide Shelby Helene.
Today, we don’t have skeletons in our interview rooms but we still need a way to record interviews and reduce the number of retracted confessions. The StarWitness Interviewer is your ‘behind the curtain’ recording solution, it comes with two cameras and the best audio capturing technology in the industry. Our interview room recording software allows for administrator privileges, account management tools, and audit trail functionality that provides a verifiable chain of custody. Each interview is logged and tagged with an owner that enables internal affairs and/or the judicial system to easily analyze and verify the chain of evidence. No skeletons needed, just a simple call or email and we will get you set up with a demo of our interview room recording equipment at your convenience.
